Uploading art files via FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

If you have numerous or large files to submit with your order, our FTP upload process is the easiest method. Follow our simple steps as outlined below:

A. If you DO NOT have an FTP program on your computer:

  • 1. To transfer files via FTP, you must have an FTP software program on your computer. Filezilla is an FTP program we recommend; it's a free and adequate program. Click here to download Filezilla
  • 2. Once there, click on the 'Download Now Sourceforge' button.
  • 3. Another window will appear asking you to save the executable file. Save the file; it will then download program to your hard drive.
  • 4. Find the file and double click on it. Give permission to run this safe executable file.
  • 5. Click 'Run'.
  • 6. Click 'Agree' to License Agreement.
  • 7. Select either 'Anyone who uses this computer' or 'Only for me' to determine who can use the program.
  • 8. Select components to install (uncheck all will be fine; choose 'Desktop Icon' if so desired for quick access.)
  • 9. Then click 'Next' - 'Next' - 'Install'
  • 10. Click 'Finish'.
  • 11. Launch program.
  • 12. In the 'Host' field, type ftp.americancalendar.com
  • 13. In 'Username' and 'Password' fields, type the information that your customer service rep gives to you. (Call 888-372-1312 if you still need this information.)
  • 14. In the 'Port' field, type: 21
  • 15. Click Quickconnect. The program will go through the connection process ending with 'Status: Directory listing successful'
  • To UPLOAD files to CalendarCompany.com:

    • 1. Use 'Local site' side (on left of screen) to your art file(s).
    • 2. Highlight/select file(s) & drag over to the open area on the right under heading 'Filename'. This copies your file(s) to our computer.
    • 3. Once files have uploaded, notify us by e-mail at art@calendarcompany.com that your files have been uploaded. Please include your company and project name and our order number in your subject field.

    To DOWNLOAD files from CalendarCompany.com:

    • 1. Under 'Remote site' side (on right), locate the folder name given to you by customer service.
    • 2. Select the folder & drag/drop to your desired location on your computer (shown on the 'Local site' side (on left).

B. If you DO have an FTP program on your computer:

  • 1. Launch program.
  • 2. In the 'Host' field, type ftp.americancalendar.com
  • 3. In 'Username' and 'Password' fields, type the information that your customer service rep gives to you. (Call 888-372-1312 if you still need this information.)
  • 4. In the 'Port' field, type: 21
  • 5. Click 'Connect' or 'Quickconnect'. The program will go through the connection process ending with 'Status: Directory listing successful'
  • 6. (Follow either UPLOAD or DOWNLOAD instructions from 'A' above.)
